Sonja–my beloved, Isaiah (almost 10) and Grace (7), blind Bartimaeus and the One he followed on the way (Mark 10:46), walking (on the beach, in the woods or anywhere), U2 (I wrote a book called One Step Closer, Brazos, 2006), Prarie Home Companion (a must from Lutherans in diaspora), old churches, silence, homemade pie, and dark beer.
